Zhoosh Brighton Directory

Zhoosh! Lesbian Gay Bi & Trans Brighton on-line

There are an ever increasing number and diversity of groups, organisations, facilities and support services to those who are lesbian, gay, bi and trans in Brighton & Hove. Some you may not even know exist!

This site enables all groups relating to the LGBT community, regardless of size, to have a presence together on-line. We endeavour to ensure their information is up-to-date and correct. This makes it easier for you to access and find the groups and services that are relevant to your interests and needs. You no longer have to trawl the web for hours searching for that elusive group or contact number!

Zhoosh provides networking & communication between groups and their members so you can now connect on-line with those who belong to the same group or have the same interests as yourself.

For groups and organisations, the site provides a platform to disseminate information quickly and easily, and keep in regular touch with their members and supporters. Some groups are private and only available to those who are accessing the service of that particular organisation. Other groups are open and available to anyone who has been to the group, supports it, or who may be interested in attending.

Step 1: Grab the Zhoosh! e-newsletter’. It ensures you don’t miss out and you’re getting up to date information compiled into one regular monthly email. Over a year, you’re guaranteed to discover so much more of what is going on in our LGBT community.

Step 2: Give yourself a Profile. The specially designed Network enables you to immediately connect with friends and new acquaintances. You can join groups that you belong to and support so they in turn can let you know information directly. You can add to a group’s wall, start a discussion on their forum or upload photos.

Step 3: Never miss a Blog post. Subscribe to the blog RSS feed and read about what the Zhoosh bloggers have to say about the LGBT community from their perspective. If you’re nervous about trying something new, read about how the Zhoosh bloggers have found their first-time experiences when trying out the many activities and services that are available to you.

Step 4: Voyage out into the community. Zhoosh’s purpose is to make it as easy as possible for you to be informed of what groups and organisations are out there, what they do and how you can join in and get involved. By also supporting the groups events and fundraising activities listed on the Events Guide, it is hoped that more money can be raised for their on-going activities.
