Clare Project – Help for people dealing with gender issues
The Clare Project is a support group for people questioning their gender identity; their partners and friends are also welcome. Other transgendered individuals are also welcomed.
We run a drop-in service every Tuesday afternoon at the Dorset Gardens Methodist Church, times are 4 till 7 on the first Tuesday of the month, and 2.30 till 5.30 for all other Tuesdays. After the first Tuesday meeting we go out for a meal at a local establishment, differs each month.
At the drop-in we have a therapist who works on a one to one basis and peer-to-peer support with other members of the group is also part of the drop-in. We work closely with other trans groups and are part of trans groups working with the Government Equality Office.
