Actually Gay Orchestra (BHAGO)
An LGBT performing group for those with a musical flair. This is part of Actually CIC which includes the Actually Gay Men’s Choir. Anyone who is a confident player, can join, even if you’re a bit rusty, as you will get the opportunity to regain your skills.
Just email with what instrument you play, and at what grade, a bit about yourself and when you can start. Otherwise you can just turn up at a rehearsal with your instrument and a music stand. Rehearsals take place at St Andrew’s Church, Waterloo St, Hove. Check out their website for dates and times.
Membership is about £4 a week, which contirbutes towards rehearsal and performance space.
There are 3 ‘terms’ per year, averaging 16 weeks each. There are 2 rehearsals per month, with weekly ones from about 8 weeks prior to a major performance.
